The Investment Manager allows you do track your investments and perform analysis
in much the same way as you might do with a spreadsheet program.
The convenience of the Investment Manager is that it will update the
current prices for hundreds of publicly traded funds and stocks and get
the past year of historical data automatically.
You don't have to enter prices manually, there are no spreadsheet ranges to change,
and sorting is easy. Just import your symbol list, select the Update button, then sort and analyze.
The Investment Manager tool is designed to facilitate an active investment strategy where you purchase current top performing funds from whatever group of funds you prefer or have access to through your investment management company. In this strategy, top performing funds are determined primarily by looking at the 30/60/90/ytd performance. After selecting a fund you might invest partially. You might purchase more of the fund as it improves beyond a certain gain threshold. You might sell the fund if it drops below a certain loss threshold. The tool can also be used to compare and track stocks.
The Investment Manager has two primary functions. The Investment panel allows you track your existing investments. The Analysis panel allows you to compare the performance of a large number of funds.
When you login you will be prompted to trust the signed applet. The applet will only read or write to your hard drive when you select the Import or Save button to load or save your data or your preferences. You will then be prompted to login. If you login as Guest you will have full access to the program except you will only be able to import and analyze 100 lines from any data files that you save or create. So you will be able to store and track 100 investments and analyze 100 funds at a time. Registered users can load 1000 lines and additional financial indicators are generated. See Register below for more information.
The Investment Manager tools are for information gathering purposes only.

- MDH data - (Maximum Drop from High) - the largest percentage drop on any day from the highest price up to that day since the buy cycle start date. This is an indicator of stability such that you might not need to sell if the MDH never dropped more that your sell point percentage.
